Our mission and philosophy are to provide quality care, exceptional personal service, and a comfortable, safe, and secure environment for guest and their escorts traveling to Winnipeg for their medical treatments.

Is to create a home away from home environment for all guests, it is our philosophy that by creating a secure comfortable environment it will lead to a rapid recovery for patients.

Our Staff Can

  • identify guests dietary needs

  • Assist with check-ins

  • Assist with Healthcare Services

  • Check up on guests (Wellness Checks)

  • Identify appointments

  • Assist with transportation services

  • Interpret on behalf of guest

  • Advocate on behalf of guest

  • Advise on how to get prescriptions filled

  • Appointment reminders

  • Advise how to get from point A to point B

  • Assist as able with understanding medical terminology (or english)

  • Receive instructions and advise from medical persons

  • Guest services and activities 

Provisions of Services

  • 3 hot meals per day, plus snack, lunches or sandwiches for late arrivals, or early departures

  • Regular housekeeping services.

  • Secured premises

  • Outdoor sitting areas

  • Staff members fluent in all first nations languages in Manitoba and NW Ontario

  • All staff to be trained in first aid and CPR

  • Private suites

  • Private bathrooms

  • ensuite smart television

  • 24 hour staff

  • introductory tour upon check-in

  • Some parking available

Our Staff will provide special assistance to the elderly, disabled, those who are traveling with children, prenatal, guests traveling alone, terminally ill or others who require special assistance

ABOUT US

Cormorant Group has an established relationship with First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB), and Medical Services and Transportation services. We are an umbrella management and business development organization representing the independent facilities at each of the presented properties. We bring the benefit of our experiences and relationships for the benefit of each of these facilities and all of our guests. Through our choices of facilities, we offer options and services which may not be available through one facility alone.
